A PhD student is currently in Australia, undertaking a three-month research internship at RMIT University in Melbourne as part of the PurHumanDrome grant.
On the first day, she had the opportunity to introduce herself to Dr. Holien’s entire team by giving a presentation about the Institute of Health Sciences at the University of Opole, her PhD student team, and her supervisors – Dr. hab. Danuta Witkowska, Prof. UO, and Dr. Agnieszka Rombel-Bryzek. During the presentation, she also shared information about Poland and its key landmarks, and concluded with a brief overview of herself and the international research project PurHumanDrome, in which Australia is also a participant.
The internship provides her with a valuable opportunity to gain new scientific experience, develop practical laboratory skills, and strengthen international collaboration within the PurHumanDrome consortium.
„My first visit to RMIT University was both stressful and inspiring. Dr. Jessica Holien, who is my academic supervisor, turned out to be an extremely kind, helpful, and engaged person. Her colleagues are equally friendly and open, which creates a work environment that is highly conducive to learning and the exchange of experiences. The laboratories at RMIT made a huge impression on me – they are highly professional, well-equipped, and well-prepared for conducting a wide range of research activities”.
